The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home with a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 nsfas 2025 and 2025 nsfas application R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research in a general my nsfas public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
